I had all of these sea shells gathered up, and kept seeing amazing sea shell wind chimes and decor in all of the local boutiques. Since I had so many lying around, I was determined to make one of my own. I used my handy Dremel to carefully drill a hole in each one, and then strung them together with some twine and knots. Tip to anyone else attempting this kind of project - use the Dremel on a high speed…I tried using a low speed and putting pressure at first and just ended up with a lot of broken shells.
I strung them up on a tree branch, and love the end result. On windy days I can hear the shells clanking together from my window. :)
