My potato planter arrived today! Hopefully those sweet potatoes won’t take too much longer! :) (Taken with instagram)My husband was confused why I would order something targeted toward people who are limited to growing vegetables in their patio or balcony, but I explained to him that I had good reasons. I remember growing potatoes in the ground as a kid, and accidentally digging into some of the potatoes when it was time to harvest them.  I am still as clumsy as I was back then, so I would like to try to avoid that in the future. :)The most exciting part of this method of growing potatoes and sweet potatoes is that they claim you will get a continual harvest, not just one harvest when you dig them all up.  I am hoping that it is like deadheading flowers…when you cut them off, it encourages new growth.  I will post updates once these sweet potatoes are ready!
